Interpret the stainless steel water supply tank and analyze the internal structure of the water tank

The water tank can be made of stainless steel, fiberglass, cement, etc. Because of the benefits of stainless steel water supply tanks for drinking water, we introduce stainless steel water supply boxes made of stainless steel sheets.


First, stainless steel water supply tank introduction:

The stainless steel water supply tank is made of stainless steel plates such as SUS304 and SUS316L. The high-quality stamping process not only ensures the pressure requirement of the box limit, but also reduces the material thickness, has high strength, light weight, and can better prevent secondary pollution of water quality, environmental protection and sanitation. The high-strength stamping plate and the uniform stainless steel ribs in the box make the box pressure uniform and reasonable.


Advantages of stainless steel water supply tank: corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, clean water, anti-seepage, anti-seismic, never moss, high strength.


Other materials used to make stainless steel water supply tanks:

(1) Metal material: The water tank can be used, the weight is light, and the construction and installation are convenient. However, it is easy to rust, the maintenance workload is large, and the cost is high. Generally, it is welded by carbon steel plate. When conditions permit, it is ideal to use materials such as stainless steel, copper, aluminum or composite materials.

(2) Reinforced concrete material: It is suitable for large water tanks, durable, easy to maintain and low in cost. However, the weight is large, and the connection with the pipeline is not well handled, and it is easy to leak.

(3) Other materials: Some emerging materials, such as plastics and glass reinforced plastics, can be used as water tank materials, which have many advantages, such as corrosion resistance, light weight, and easy installation and maintenance. But the cost is relatively high.


Second, the shape of the stainless steel water supply tank

Common stainless steel water supply tanks are round, square, rectangular and spherical in shape. In special cases, they can be designed into any other shape according to specific conditions.

The circular water tank has a reasonable structure, saves materials, and has a relatively low cost, but sometimes it is inconvenient to arrange and covers a large area. The square and rectangular water tanks are easy to arrange and occupy a small area, but the large water tank structure is more complicated, the material consumption is larger, and the cost is relatively high. The steel water tank puts the reinforcing ribs inside the water tank, which is difficult to clean, is not conducive to corrosion prevention, and processing is also inconvenient. The spherical water tank is beautiful in appearance.


Third, the effective water depth in the stainless steel water supply tank, generally used 0.70-2.50M.


Fourth, stainless steel water supply tank accessories: water tanks should generally be provided with inlet pipes, outlet pipes, overflow pipes, drain pipes, snorkels, liquid level gauges, manholes and other accessories.


(1) Inlet pipe: The inlet pipe of the tank is generally connected from the side wall, and can also be accessed from the bottom or the top. When the water tank uses the pressure of the pipe network to enter the water, the water outlet of the inlet pipe should be equipped with a hydraulic water level control valve or a float ball valve as much as possible. The top of the control valve is connected to the water tank. When the pipe diameter is ≥ 50MM, the number is generally not less than two. An service valve should be installed in front of each control valve. When the water tank is pressurized by the pressure of the pressurized pump and the pressure pump is automatically controlled by the water level lifting, the water level control valve should not be installed.


(2) Outlet pipe: The water outlet pipe can be taken out from the side wall or bottom. The inner bottom of the outlet pipe (the side wall is connected) or the top surface of the nozzle (the bottom is connected) shall be no less than 50 mm in the inner bottom of the high water tank. An internal thread (small diameter) or a flange (large diameter) gate valve shall be provided on the outlet pipe, and a shut-off valve with a large force shall not be installed. When it is necessary to install a check valve, the swing type with less resistance should be used instead of the lift type. The low water level of the check valve is not less than 1M. When a water tank is used for life and fire, the check on the fire outlet pipe The valve should be lower than the top of the siphon tube of the living water (below the top of the tube, the vacuum of the life siphon is destroyed, only the water outlet of the fire outlet is guaranteed to flow out) not less than 2M, so that it has the pressure to push the check valve, in the event of a fire, The amount of fire reserves can really make a difference.


In addition to the technical measures to ensure that the fire reserve water quantity is not used for other purposes, the water tank for fire fighting and living should also avoid the generation of stagnant water areas. For example, the life outlet pipe adopts the siphon pipe top drilling hole (the hole diameter is 0.1 times of the pipe diameter), etc. 1.8-2.


(3) Discharge pipe: The water tank drain pipe should be taken out from the bottom. The drain pipe is equipped with internal thread or flange gate valve (no shut-off valve should be installed). The drain pipe can be connected to the overflow pipe, but it must not be connected directly to the drainage system. When there is no special requirement for the pipe diameter of the drain pipe, it is generally not less than 50MM.


(4) Snorkel: The water tank for drinking water should be provided with a sealed box cover, and the manhole and vent pipe should be provided on the box cover. The snorkel can be extended indoors or outdoors. It should not be extended to places with harmful gases. The nozzle should have a filter screen to prevent dust, insects and mosquitoes from entering. Generally, the nozzle should be placed face down. No ventilating device such as valves or water seals may be installed on the snorkel. The snorkel must not be connected to the drainage system and the air duct. The diameter of the snorkel is generally not less than 50MM.


(5) Level gauge: Generally, a glass level gauge should be installed on the side wall of the tank to indicate the water level on the spot. When the length of a level gauge is not enough, two or more can be installed up and down. The overlap between two adjacent level gauges should not be less than 70MM. If the liquid level signal is counted at the end of the tank as shown in Figure 1.8-3, the signal tube can be set to give an overflow signal. The signal tube is generally connected from the side wall of the water tank, and its height should be such that the inner bottom of the tube is flush with the overflow surface of the inner bottom of the overflow pipe or the top surface of the bell mouth. The pipe diameter is generally 15MM. The signal tube can be connected to a washbasin, sink, etc. in a room that is often staffed. If the tank level is interlocked with the pump, a level relay or annunciator should be installed on the side wall or top cover of the tank. Commonly used liquid level relays or annunciators are float type, rod type, capacitive type and float type. The high and low electronically controlled water level of the water pump pressure water inlet should be considered to maintain the safe volume. The instantaneous high electric control water level of the pump stop should be lower than the overflow level not less than 100MM, and the instantaneous low electronic control water level of the open pump should be higher than the design. The low water level is not less than 200mm, so as to avoid the adverse consequences of overflowing water or emptying water when there is a slight error.


(6) Overflow pipe: The water tank overflow pipe can be taken out from the side wall or bottom. The pipe diameter should be larger than the inlet pipe 1-2, but the pipe section below the LM can be reduced to the inlet pipe diameter. No valves shall be installed on the warm water pipe. The overflow pipe shall not be directly connected to the drainage system and indirect drainage shall be used. There should be measures to prevent dust, insects, mosquitoes, etc. from entering the overflow pipe, such as setting water seals and strainers.
